Number one

Well, here it is. The first post. So I know quite a few people who have blogs, who write stuff periodically, some more than others. I decided why not join the club, I have plenty of time at this point in my life and not much to do.
The main point of this is going to be, as it's titled, Somewhat Daily Thoughts. I may not make every day, but I realized I have a lot of random thoughts every day. Sometimes they are just random ideas, sometimes they are brought on by something, some issue, a problem, etc. Sometimes it's easier to write things to help figure out what's going on, so there may be some of that as well. In any case, I'll give a small sampling after this on a couple thoughts I've had that might show up here. Also, I will give this as a warning. If you are easily offended, you may not want to read much more. I'll try and keep this somewhat tame, but it is my thoughts, if you dare enter into my thoughts and actually try and figure out how my brain works, good luck and god speed.

So, a few years ago I was at work (I used to work in an office where there was no need for thinking so I did a lot of random thinking of my own) and had this idea about the possible cure for cancer. It involves cockroaches. I figure that these "creatures" can survive -anything- so there has to be something there that will cure cancer. I believe that there could be a few separate places in the United States alone where this research could take place. Take New York and Florida for example. They survive in New York even when it gets cold out in the winter, so maybe there are some differences between them and the ones in Florida. Now I have no idea how to do the research, and I am absolutely disgusted by the things so I want nothing to do with it, but someone should take this idea and run with it!

This will be one of the very few times that I will write about politics. However I feel a pressing need as it is getting close to the time to vote. I want to know, WHY people feel the need to discuss politics at work. I personally wish no one would discuss it with me because my opinion is way different then the general populace of my area. But either way, there is a time and place for discussion of politics (and religion, stuff like that in general) and the work place is NOT it. There are enough people who are fanatical about certain aspects of politics and/or religion that you don't want to find this out by bringing it up at work. And if you are one of those fanatical people, don't bring it up yourself either. In fact, chill out, because if you are a fanatic you are probably wrong because you blindly follow your beliefs instead of being willing to see the whole truth. Without the whole truth, you don't know anything and are wrong. So before I get any more into a rant I'll stop now, just remember the morale to this story. There is a place and time to bring up and discuss politics and religion, around me is neither the place nor the time. Remember that!
